They meet someone on the way to hear a mariachi band.
Colbert and Lee drove out to see
a mariachi band;
they loved the sound that went around
like rhythm in the land.
They were to play outside Sunday--
Moon Shadow, they were called;
but when the sky began to cry,
the couple were quite galled.

As they drove on they came upon
a werewolf with a sign;
Lee asked Colbert about the hair,
and he said it was fine.
The print was small and not at all
obscene or even lewd;
it simply said (for want of bread),
“I’ll gladly howl for food.”

Lee rubbed her ear and felt a tear
within her eye so blue;
since he was tame, she asked his name,
and he said it was Stu.
Some werewolf kin with high-pitched din
did jockey for a view;
then Lee gave Stu some cheese fondue,
and guacamole, too.

So off they rode in festive mode
having dispensed the snack;
they had disdain for falling rain
upon a sloppy track.
But when they got to their nightspot,
a blushing in their jowl,
the werewolf showed with what he owed,
and all enjoyed the howl.
