Silence is Deadly

My lungs are burning as I attempt my silent screams.

These thoughts come back to haunt me,
they find me in my dreams.

I can find no escape from the things I will not face,
for even as I sleep,
my thoughts begin to race.

You've hurt me, the one I though was true.
My own mother has forsaken me,
there's not much I can do.

The one person who is destined to love,
has turned her back on me.

She ran the blade across my wrists,
and left me here to bleed.

These wounds cannot be healed by a simple remedy.
Your words are what have killed me, is it really that hard to see?

The darkness closes in around me,
I'm finding it hard to breathe.

You turned and did what you do best,
you hurry up,
and leave.

I feel myself begin to pass,
and now I finally see.
Despite the things I want to believe,
it is YOU that is haunting me.
