poem ................................none linear non rhyming
forever in doubt as to the caus or purpose of our existence
yearning for closeness with others will only alientate you from yourself
when you no longer watch where you place your feet
as you traverse the ice stricken path
numb to the ever widening cracks in the ground upon witch you once so firmly stood
your search if for the eternal, the ephemeral, the celestial harmonies, the womb, the void
death, peace, the end of cyclical sufferings, the end of monotony,
when the wind refuses the blow through your hair, when stars will shine not for thine eye
you will hear the drone in your ears, deafening at first yet constent and ultimately soothing
every sigh can be your last.
the tears falling into the snow may not have time to burough before they too succomb to winters bone
my time has ended, my line as well, no one will follow my place
no one will weep over my grave. my stone will have no markings, it will be as dry cold and barren as the place where i lay
in my final hour, upon the dry dead leaves, beaneath a canopy of icy maples
around me the aroma of frozen sap and syrup consumes me,
my heart rate begins to climb, it bounds in my brain as though trying to dig its way out
i give in, one last sigh, i am born again....i sure hope not
