Foolish shepherd, you fail to see
What the nymph truly wants is me!
Your offerings are but fickle
Quickly put out, like a candle

O nymph, how elegant you are,
Shining as brightly as a star!
Words cannot show your beauty
From head to toe, truly lovely!

Your eyes twinkle like diamonds,
Enchanting men by the thousands
Your gaze pierces my heart and soul,
Probing in ‘til I lose control

Your skin, white as clouds in the sky
Pure as silk, a feast for the eyes
Statuesque ivory; spotless
Venus herself would be jealous

I shall always be by your side
‘Til and after the end of time
You should have no reason to fear
For I will always just be here

So, good Shepherd, what say you now?
Farewell, you may now take your bow
It would serve you well to agree
