Title says it all.

Maybe it was silly to feel
As if I need to be healed
Maybe it was wrong to look at her
As my one and only healer
Obviously by Her, I mean She
The love of my life
The core of my strife
Which is now done, past, and former
When we stopped calling each other
What ever term you prefer, like lover
It all changed.
We orbit each other’s lives
But we are in so many ways estranged
No more lovers, not really even friends
We can’t go back to former ever again
Separated not just because we are opposite sexes
But because we are the dreaded word: Exes
That is what our eternity turned out to be
Not friends but exes
And exes only
