Simile/Metaphor poem for English class about life. It's so deep.
Floating along
Perilously close,
A dangerous sort of life.

Each child with their hands
Reaching up to pop-
Every breeze catching like
A fisherman’s hook.

The need to be
Unstoppable, like a distant star;
Like a glimmer
Of hope.

Carefully rejoicing
In every minute.
Afraid of the future,
Of the inevitable ‘pop’.

Unstoppable
Is a silly wish.

Floating along
Perilously close,
A dangerous sort of life.
