A poem about someone I once wanted to be with...
I do not think anyone else you ever meet will give the time and energy I gave you.
I do not think anyone else you ever meet will sacrifice friendships, work and patience for you.
I do not think that you will ever grow up.
In a years time I learned that the hardest way possible.
All the times you promised to make things right.
You made so many plans with me, held me in times of sadness, and made me feel so loved.
But in the end each and every time you hurt me, abandoned me and left me with unanswered questions.
I know one day you will come back looking to make things right, but by then someone else will fill my heart.
This time I abandoned you before you could me.
I finally opened my eyes and saw the poison you were.
