A wishful thinking piece.
I close my eyes and wish on the brightest star
when dawn is close to her slumber,
to enclose your hand in mine and fly with you to
a world where the sun greets you with smiles and touches
its hot breath to your lips.
Strectching it gently into that nostalgic grin,
your rest is long and your heart is mended.
Your mind will no longer reach back but leans forward with me,
we'll view our memories fondly like art in a museum and with a calm joy.
This is the freedom that we seek, a breaking of the bonds of regret, grief and pain
with the power of hope and love.
And should this wish carry a cost or a burden, then I will gladly and gracefully
bow and endure it all for the sound of your laugh and the brightening of your eyes.
