A daddy's little girl is growin up
He used to mean so much to her,
Now though as she gets older he means so much more,
He was always there when she needed him,
Daddy’s little girl needs him again.
She’s growing up and is so confused,
There’s days she acts like she hates him,
She wants him to leave her alone,
Yet she’s daddy's little girl.
High school is passing in a blur,
Now she doesn’t have much time for him,
She tries so hard to make him proud,
She’s still daddy's little girl.
She wants nothing more than to please him,
She begins everyday with an i love you,
She never knows when he might leave her,
She’s trying to stay daddy's little girl.
Now the guys are coming round,
He’s scared to death yet so is she,
She doesn’t wanna grow up anymore,
Cause she’s still daddy's little girl.
She begs to spend time with him now,
He knows she needs her space,
She still loves being alone with him though,
Cause she is and always will be daddy's little girl.
