Just a piece of poetry I came up with at work, looking for feedback on poetic structure
These words appear within my head,
I'll write them on a paper bed.
Sometimes for all the world to see,
Sometimes just for me.
They will be read, they will be read.

When I close my eyes, a light!
bright and dark as day and night,
marks a balance through and through
to show me what is real and true.
All this is right, all this is right

In my ears I hear the sound
of earthy music all around.
Click and clang, buzz and ring.
A chorus of voices loudly sing.
They cry for now, they cry for now

The taste of it is bittersweet
that love is gained within defeat.
Feasting now upon the day
together we will find the way.
We hunger for justice, we hunger for justice

A scent of crisp winter air,
promise of a spring most fair.
reawakens the sleeping Earth,
as we venture from the hearth.
We travel far, we travel far

Gently now I feel your touch,
The rush of needing you so much.
The end is coming ever near
I face it only because you are here.
We stand and fight, we stand and fight.

These words appear within my mind
it is peace I wish to find
all as one, one for all
lest together we may fall
We rise above, we rise above
