Long lost love
When I first met my love so fair,

With eyes of blue and long brown hair,

We were so young, our lives to live,

My heart took flight, my love to give.

I called him Tiger, he called me Kitten,

We pledged our love; we both were smitten.

We planned our tomorrow, the future our treasure,

Our lives were happy, each day a pleasure.

I did not know our souls were mates,

So young was I, to tempt the fates.

It took not long once we were parted,

To miss my love, the life we started.

I knew not how to find my love,

Whose heart fit mine just like a glove.

I prayed, but knew I was to blame,

So buried my feelings, too strong to tame.

The years went by; we lived them apart,

To guard my love I barred my heart.

But then one day I said a prayer,

And returned, he was, my love so fair.
