Secret festers
(Chapter 1)

Knock* Knock* There was a knock at the door it was Caleb's mother
" Caleb would you do me a favor and take out the trash out in the kitchen please?"

He responded "Yes Mom I will get right on it."
Proceeding down the hallway to the kitchen he pulled the trash bag out of the can and tied it up then brought it out to the big trashcan on the side of the

house. He returned inside and started to retreat back to his room when his mother walked in and said "Caleb, honey, thanks for taking the trash out that was a big help for me".

He responded with "Not a problem mom." She smiled at him as he was turning to go back to his room.
As soon as he was back in his room he opened the notebook and continued writing...

" Gavin was going through his normal routine when the phone rang it was a person calling in regards to an application he had put out. They explained the procedure "let's meet at this time, does that work for you?" he responded "that will be fine" When the time came he got ready as always. When he got there no one was waiting so he was seen right away.

It seemed like the interview went well and of course he got the same response "we will give you a call" which he knew meant rejection or so he thought... a week went by and he got a call from the person who interviewed him Gavin answered and said "Hello?." The person replied "good afternoon is this Gavin Jones I am speaking with?"
He replied .."speaking?" "Hi I am calling to inform you

that you have got the job we have reviewed your application and our interview notes and we believe that you would make an excellent edition to our business" Gavin got a big smile on his face

even though he was so happy he kept his cool.. "thanks for letting me know." He hung up the phone and shouted "Thank You!" That night he got some friend's together as a way of celebrating this change in his life.

"To the one who we all knew could do it and get out of that hellhole place of a job which yes we all still work at ha ha let's hear it for Gavin on landing this new much better job" Everyone rose their bottles of beer "Hell Yeah!!" "ha ha thanks guys I don't know what I would do without you"

Gavin was referring to his friend's "So Gavin explain to us what exactly this job has you doing? I mean come on man you have been working at the clothing outlet store for I would have to say like three years.

"Well this job it's more than having to go pick the right pants jeans shirt's or shoe sizes. This job requires a lot of focus you have to have all the files organized you have to basically do whatever you are told because that's what an assistant does

whatever they are told," Gavin's friend replied "Wow, man you are like going to be someone's slave!"

"Man what I wouldn't give to have some girl make me her slave with all the tying up, whipping, collars, blindfolds, choke chains, and candle wax..." he was interrupted "Joey dude that's a little too much information man" Joey replied

"Oh man come on how can you say that I swear that sometimes you are just such an uninteresting person and it makes me wonder why I have ever hung out with you.."

Joey was interrupted by Gavin "Joey you are drunk right now so we both know what's coming out of your

mouth is just plain malarkey" Joey started to rise up out of the chair and became face to face with Gavin he started to yell "You take that back! What in da world uhhh...gave you that idea?" Joey said in slurred voice Gavin's friend's just kept their laughter to themselves.

Gavin saw his good friend Joey stumble onto the floor saying "ohh I don't feel so good" he said in a queasy voice Gavin replied "I will give you a lift home buddy" Joey responded

"Thanks Gav you're such a guud guy" Gavin bid everyone goodnight and thanked them for coming out to celebrate with him afterward he
started helping Joey to the car."

Caleb had been putting so much focus in his story that he didn't notice his mom Cherie was calling him "Caleb honey it's time for Dinner!" hearing that he closed his notebook and hid it under his mattress and retreated to the kitchen where his mom prepared a roast with the trimmings, gravy, rice, butter beans, and cornbread.

Caleb was an only child he didn't have any big sister's or brother's to bug him or teach him good life skills he only had his parents and some friend's

at school whom he would rarely hangout with he kept to himself most of the time the best part he liked about school was book assignment's his English teacher would always pick a book from the shelf.

She would start out by telling the class "alright everyone we are going to go through and read this book for a few weeks chapter by chapter" she would end with "then after we are finished I want you to write a paper on what you thought about the book and also there will be a test over it" Caleb always loved the opportunity when he got to write.

Based off of fictional stories that sometimes boggled his mind still his parent's had no idea he never showed them his report card or the many papers he had made 100's on it's not that his parent's didn't care

but that they trusted their son enough to let him be the one to tend to his schooling and be the responsible one Caleb liked the fact that he could have his secret and not worry about it coming out.

At the dining room table Caleb's mom Cherie was eating the supper she prepared for her family and drinking her iced tea she had noticed Caleb had pretty much been in his room most of the day

so she preceded to ask him what he had been doing "Caleb honey why have you been in your room all day you barely came out?" Caleb responded with a lie "Well I was working on my homework for school and I needed to focus nothing big mom" he said with a slight smile.

His mom couldn't see past his deception she believed he was telling the truth Caleb liked that he was able to lie to his parent's and them believe it just because they trusted him they didn't have any reason to believe he was lying

its not like he was out doing anything irresponsible Caleb was a good kid maybe too good at times sometimes it irritated him that he never did anything wrong he always had the thoughts in his head but never actually went through with them.

His friend's that he had at school weren't bad, they also had their share of secrets nothing really to be ashamed of they were the somewhat normal secrets to name a few Jacob was a heavy drinker yes he was in high school he started drinking when he was 16 just a little here and there then he wanted more

he started paying the older kids at school just to get him alcohol and he went to all the parties and would always get drunk off his behind he would always spend the night at wherever the parties were because he didn't wanna go home drunk.

Then there was Devin he wasn't popular but he didn't go unnoticed when in class he would help tutor the jocks because yes they were muscular but their I.Q. levels weren't as bright to put it straight they were completely stupid

Devin knew that the jocks appreciated his help they would sometimes pick on him but the jocks grew to like him they treated him with respect in no way was he their buddy he was only their tutor outside of tutoring they would occasionally call

him names but would always smile at him as if to say "you're still sort of cool".
