Not necessarily a state but a state of mind.
My Favorite Place

There’s a wonderful place that calls to me,
And of all the places I could wish to be,
There’s this one place where I feel most comfy.

No need to buy a ticket or make a reservation,
And whenever I’m there it’s like a vacation.

There’s plenty of room and lots of good eats,
Homemade chili, salsa and different smoked meats.

Games are played for trophies and bragging rights,
Stories around the campfire on those chilly nights.

Could be a chalet in the mountains or
A cottage by the sea,
But, it’s not the location that matters to me.

It makes no difference how far you roam,
And they say “There’s no place like Home”.

But you see, the place I’d rather be is not a place at all.
It’s fun loving familiar faces that I hear call.
Because anywhere with my family is the best place of all!!
