A poem about the isolation of outer space
It’s easy to lose your way out here,
I find it hard to keep my concentration,
My curiosity overwhelms my fear,
Reveling in the serenity of my isolation.
Floating on the weight of my dreams,
I must keep my eye on my final destination,
Somewhere betwixt and between,
I close my eyes in anticipation,
Propelled by my drive to fulfill my purpose,
A promise made is a promise to keep,
I have only broken the surface,
And years to go before I sleep,
Time to learn and time to think,
Visions I’ve had showing me what I seek,
Pages to be filled with lines of ink,
With years to go before I sleep,
