A meaphor poem about love.
the days roll by slowly,

my mind atempts to distract my lonely body,

even though i knew in my heart all along,

leaving you was the only thing i did wrong.

i close my eyes and drift away,

thinking of your smile highlights my day,

the ache inside me pounds hard,

pain cuts through like glass shards.

my tears fall onto the dying grass,

each one weighing a larger mass than the last,

my heart screams your name,

and at last i can say i'm tired of the endless games.

through the darkening meadow i run,

realising now what must be done,

into the night my mustang rides,

under the stars her coat shines.

with your eyes buring in my head,

i ride on ahead,

seeing you home come into veiw,

my heart beat skips two.

as though we'd spoken telepathicly,

your already waiting for me,

with tears pouring from my eyes i plead i was wrong,

mercilfully you pull me off my knees,

and tell me you knew all along.

eyes sparkiling with forgivness,

you let me fix this mess,

i promise the games will cease,

and eventually i mend you hear piece by piece.

tonight-together, we ride into the stars,

with dreams of reaching mars.
