Kindness from unexpected places
Reality Soon Became Silent
The world no longer spoke to her.
She walks silently among the chaos of the noisy world.
People often stared into her blank expression, searching for signs of life.
She only knew the soft whisper of her own mind, screaming for expression.
But expression was overcome by suppression.
Suppression begot depression.
Depression invited obsession.
An obsession that gripped her life by the throat.
Human connection was now obsolete.
Friends faded into painful memories.
Joy was a distant occurrence that rarely showed its presence.
Her days were consumed with the ticking of time passing
bringing her closer to eternal darkness.
Companionship was long forgotten.
Insanity slowly creped in and began to set a dwelling.
Friends were made of wood, lambs gained personalities.
Projections of created lived filled her day with hope and excitement.
Suddenly, the loneliness reverted to its dark depths.
No longer dominant in her mind, insanity blew a wind of compassionate kindness.
Giving her what reality had denied.
Soon her life past was forgotten, never to plague her with despair again.
Insanity provided love and security.
Reality soon became silent.
