One of many poems I write to clear my head for other things.
I took my thoughts to bed last night,
hoping they'd fade with sleep
to a level that I could stand
that wouldn't wreak havoc in me.

Hope is a tenuous thing;
trust is a risky endeavor.
You live with the choices you make,
though sometimes, it feels like Forever.

I was smarter three years ago
than I am now.
Ghosts from your past are best 'exorcised'.
If not,
they will haunt you somehow.

"Better to have loved and lost, right?"
Whoever said that, didn't have a clue.
The Reality is: One moment in time
can destroy the pieces of you.
