This is a short piece I wrote after being hurt by someone who I put too much trust in.
How could she be so cold,
knowing I would've given an arm
for her.
Frigid blood flowed through her body
like a reptile
and I was naive
as a new born baby
because I wanted to believe that
I was special to her.
The thought of me being a pawn
in the game she was playing was an afterthought,
so I ignored the blinking caution lights
and fell victim to her
deceit driven charm,
leaving me in my current plight,
feeling
hurt, used, and alone.
