It's a bit of a depressing poem but I like to think you'll be able to sense the emotion.
Cold Hearted

A heart so cold and a heart so dark could never know the warm feeling of being loved.
Or having a friend who will be there through any and everything.
Or how it feels to be truly wanted.

Instead, the heart only knows sorrow and despair.
Instead, it only knows pain and suffering.
Instead, it only knows loneliness and hatred.
It knows not of the joys that all others feel,
But of the disappointment and rejection that washes upon it everyday.

If everyone is meant to be loved
And be around for a purpose like they say,
Than why must my heart keep out of sight?
Why must my heart be constantly kicked around as if it were
A pebble on the blacktop that is my soul?

Is my heart not meant to loved and have a purpose?
Was the creation of it just a mindless mistake?
I try and I try to search for these answers in the abyss of my soul.
But i hear nothing but silence
And I see nothing but an ice cold heart.
