A short poem I wrote about myself, about being too kind sometimes.

Curse my soft heart!
If only't were made of iron!
Si, I love my heart,
I love to feel,
but people try and try
and try and try
to hurt me with my heart!

I am oft mean, I know,
but my heart is mine
and I am me,
and me and I and mine are one,
and my soft heart hears me,
and mine and mine heart are me.

If only I had an iron heart,
so no spear could pierce,
no sword could dishevel
and no one could break.

If only I had an iron heart . . .
I would feel not and love not,
so I'd rather be hurt, over that.
