A poem of love and hate
You helped me love when nothing was left,
You put back the pieces he had broken...
And for that I thank you,
But your heart was cold and black.
You did not help out of love, but lust.
You stole my heart within a day and would not give it back,
Because it gave you sick pleasure to turn it black...

But now you sit alone at night,
Pondering why I left.
For now my heart is black.
Black with anguish,
Black with guilt.
Black with anger…
At you still.
For you are the reason I can love no longer.
But one day I will move on.
And he will erase the black.
But until then I will be guarded.
I will not love.
Because hate for you has caused my heart to be black.
