Second poem of a collection dedicated to one's interpretation of night.
Youthful Night

Laying on my back

Not praying, just laying

My mind wandering, enjoying

This majestic play of lights.

Clusters of creatures on display

For the whole world to admire

I sigh and close my eyes

Oh, it makes me calm

I wish I could recite

Whatever comes to mind

A sonata

A prose

A generous hymn,

To the wondrous mantle

That covers our meager lives.

I open my eyes

Then darkness becomes light

Due to that glowing guardian up above

Bringing its caring light.

Don’t fight it,

give in to its might.

That goddess for whom many have perished

I will forever always cherish.
