Poem on mankind.
our good fortunes
blood diamonds
tainted perfection
of ironic reality

society's dark glare
oppressing our birth
casting shadows
upon our worth

a peasant's plight
rarely noticed
through blinding lights
and loss of focus

humanity inspired
in light of bliss
for it is ignorance
which brings us to this

our good earth's glory
unfolds through it's destruction
an untold story
of death by construction

here I stand
in awe of man
with structures grand
and blackened land

an ignorant existence
of false desires
without resistence
our earth retires

awaken to music
a familiar sound
mother nature
cries all around
