A poem about a relationship built on lies from one believed by the other.
Your Lying Eyes

Our eyes, they tell the memories of our lives
Times passed, the good and the bad.
They tell of days of heart break,
And hours of Sorrow.
The days we wish like no tomorrow,
For sunshine.

When I cried

Darkness drifts into the center of our lives,
Led by shadows of over hanging lies.
The stories that you told,
Not so true and not so bold,
They brought your mystery in disguise.

Your eyes.
They just told lies, lies, lies,
So blue they'd blend in with the skies.
I fell for it once,
I fell again,
But no, not in this instance.

A summer of happy times,
But times don't last.
Like a summer breeze, you had to pass
Your not gone long, when the stories fly.
I ask around to find out why.

Thoughts of possibly,
A life spend in jubilee wash away.
Some bet, some stupid bet,
And my mind began to change.

Your lies
Could fill the skies.
From east to west,
You told the best, I've ever heard.
I fell for it once,
I fell again,
But not now,

Not in this instance.
