Maybe not.
I'm awake. I'm alive? Something is here. I hear breathing. I can see, but some how I can't move. Not my legs, nor my arms. This bed I'm lying in is stifling. A-A man? I see a man in the corner! I try to open my mouth to cry for help to no avail. My lips have betrayed me as well. My heart is beating out of my chest. I can do nothing paralyzed here. It's dark. Too dark to make out anything, but it's eyes...ah I can see those deep green eyes clearly. They project such impish intent. They're staring right at me. This man, no demon, will not allow me to leave.
I shift my eyes as if to move, but in this state there is no escape. Those eyes have moved too close. His face now next to mine. When he's this close, I know for sure, those eyes are not of this world.  With hardly an inch between his face and mine, his mouth opens to breath. His exhaling air falling on my face like a sweltering heat.
He must be holding me down. I feel a scale ridden hand pushing on my chest harder every second, crushing me. Frantic, I scream with no voice and no audience. Have other people died this way? Forget hope, for I can do nothing.
My eyes close. Everything has vanished. The fear, the man, all of it gone. My eyes re-open. I sit up in disbelief. The light is shining in through my bedroom shade. I'm awake. I'm alive.
