Snow is fun. Coming home from the cold is better.

Silence,
Echoing off the snowbound trees.

Whiteness,
Encasing the sleeping earth.

Cold,
Penetrating the thickest layers.

Beauty,
Filling my heart with joy.

Flames,
Dancing in the hearth.

Warmth,
Bringing back life to numb limbs.

Sleep.
