Lies

What lies
do you tell?
or wish to hear?
Do you prefer
to look through
the windows
and see
spilled furniture?
Or do you prefer
to stand outside,
hose in hand,
ready to spray
the years from
the stucco,
the windows,
the walls,
and wash
the muck
into the gutter
to mingle
and dance
with the crap
that others
have washed
away?
