Regardless what season I always long for another. It is human nature never to be satisfied
In the dead of the winter,
I long for the sun,
The sweet smell of jasmine,
And a fresh cut lawn,
The song of the insects,
Humming their tune,
Buzzing about
In the late afternoon.

In the heat of the summer,
I wish for the chill,
The beauty of snow
On a dark windowsill
The lights like a rainbow,
Twinkling bright,
Filling the night air
With cheer and delight.

In springtime my heart
Calls for brisk autumn winds,
Schooltime and football
Reunions with friends.
The ghosts and the goblins
Come out with the stars,
Dancing with leaves,
Burning fire in their hearts.

In the soft glow of autumn,
I pray for the spring,
The flowers and showers
The season will bring.
The trees all adorned
In their splendor so green
The sweet months of life,
So much new to be seen.
