Thinking back, smiling and wishing...
Fingers intertwined
A quick look behind
Cheeks heating up
Not knowing how to stop
Heartbeats on the rise
A shy glance in each other’s eyes
Their lips brush
They part in a rush
Hand next to hand
They try to understand
Both stare ahead
Lips parched and red
They couldn’t, they shouldn’t
Unsure that they wouldn’t
