A song about two previous lovers and one giving the life to the other as a second chance
Where you should be is right here beside me
But instead you’re ten thousand miles
Away from where my heart beats

Lover, my friend, our time has come to end
You walked away to turn the blame
But it continues to seek your name

My faults are there, but you are what made the tares
Between our broken hearts
That seep through our blank and lonely stares

I speak and live as if nothing is there
A hopeless dream with pity and despair
Like I never cared

My life moved on to find the new dawn
But in the distant old times I waited
And there, I live, alone and scared

But not entirely so, for I am still strong to fight
To fight for life but not my own
For you, and you only, I hope you continued on

I gave my life for any of its worth
That God would give new birth to earth
Not a new life but a second chance

I’m here dead to my fleshly land
But I hope that He gave you a second chance
My lover, my friend, let go of my hand

Where you should be is in His plan
So take a second chance
As if, it was give at the life of a friend
