For the mother of a child with Cerebal Palsy

I HAVE A LITTLE BOX THAT'S
BEEN LOCKED WITH A BROKEN KEY.
MY LITTLE GOLDEN BOX,
IS SUCH A SIGHT TO SEE.

INSIDE MY GOLDEN BOX THERE ARE
HOPES AND DREAMS AND FEARS.
OUTSIDE MY GOLDEN BOX
THERE ARE LOTS OF LONELY YEARS.

THE WORLD WANTS BY BOX
WISHED GONE.
FOR THIS REASON I HOLD
ON STRONG.

FOR I KNOW, WAY DOWN DEEP,
INSIDE MY SOUL,
THERE IS A SPARE KEY
THAT FITS THE HOLE.
