Worlds rest in between us… and time is against us.
Did you see the stars polish the darkness of the ambiance like pearls of the sky ocean?
Certainly you did.
I barely saw it tonight.
Did you see the sun ascend to the morning glow of a new day’s warmth of crimson tides?
Certainly you did as well.
I’ll be gazing upon it’s amazement in a few hours.
Worlds rest in between us…
Earlier you would have smiled and left me breathless
A kiss here to show our sincere affections
Earlier you would have sat at your desk and laughed
At an uncontainable fill of imagination
As we hold hands and tell our days worth of tales
Time creeps by us and we’re only to marvel
How she had not been too generous
To give us more minutes and hours
And so we either have sleepless nights or days worth our moments
And when we do, abuse it like children, on the play ground
Uttering futile words of sweet cherries and French bakeries
To them it seems, but to us, everything
Earlier you would have closed our world, realized it real
Before doing so, realized the secrets we had concealed
Earlier you would have thought those words
And say it another time before in whispers to carry on
And as your moment it reaches me
I catch a little of it too, in the brisk of a waking noon
Worlds rest in between us…
A thousand lands take apart us two
Yet beneath one sky I’m motionless of you
And although words we can apply from any dictionary
Not a hint can ever paint a canvas of these feelings complete
Your day has come and past
And I see the beautiful life you had
Only hours before…
And now I see what you had seen earlier
Only hours before…
Only hours before did I realize
What you may have been trying to say
And I took a while to comprehend those meanings
But now I sit on those thoughts
As they soak into my mind
I realized
Only hours before
You had told me your secret
And it took hours later
For me to meet you there
