on the darkness that abounds
The shadows surround me
and silence closes in,
alone in the darkness
now cradled with this sin.

Leave me in solitude,
and do not look at me,
sentenced to my sadness
for all eternity.

Picture souls entangled,
beneath the stars alone,
now let blackness settle
in brightness that once shone.

Asking for forgiveness,
it needs no skill or trade,
count on heart’s sympathy
in souls that never fade.

The shadows surround me
and silence closes in,
alone in the darkness,
now cradled with this sin.
