Why?
Why did we let it end before it started?
Self preservation?
Protection?
We both feared the same thing.
We both weren’t ready.

What is it about commitment
that scares the hell out of us?
We played hard.
But what was the prize?

We both walked away with nothing.
Why did we forfeit?
