on a memory
Have you ever felt alone? I don’t mean the pangs of loneliness that touch us all once in awhile because we may be feeling forgotten for the moment, so we are selfishly wallowing in our own reverie of self pity. No, I’m talking about the loneliness that creeps in like a thick fog, and blankets over you like a slow suffocation, then reaches deep down into the pit of your soul, and rapes you to the core. You ache so badly inside you can’t even cry. And if you do find the strength to shed tears, your entire body shakes with each gut-wrenching sob. You are beyond wondering about family and friends. Instead, you are asking yourself if God has forsaken you. Why has he forsaken you? You are left burning in this dry desert wasteland, barren of hope; so thirsty…so tired…so alone.
