A first kiss in a new relationship
Lovers Tryst

We met in a field,

Not as romantic as some.

Kiss not yet sealed

As we both played dumb.

Eyes glazed over,

The alcohol was drank.

Neither of us sober

But both hearts sank.

We left in a car

And arrived at a friends place.

We hadn’t gone far

But it felt like a race.

Many shy glances a plenty,

But now for the kiss it was time.

He leaned across and acted so gently,

As he placed his soft lips against mine.

The night had to come to a close,

I left, but inside I was singing.

My body tingled from my head to my toes

And I knew this was just the beginning.
