A writing for a grieving mother
I sit alone.
Wondering what went wrong.
Last night we sat holding hands
Talking about his plans for the future.
Today I can not understand.
So cold are his face and hands.
I ask my God why?
Silence is his reply.
Another loss, I have gained.
I hold my chest to stop the pain.
My God, my Father.
My child, my son,
so innocent and young.
I hold his picture close to my heart,
this is how my morning starts.
I love you son, you're in good hands.
No more harm or pain from man.
