A poem about long friendship lost.
We were the best of friends,
Though miles were in our way.
We found a way to say hello
Almost everyday.

Now the years have rolled by,
And the hellos are not so often.
I feel the need to cry,
And tear the hurt place open.

You and I have families,
They mean the world to us.
But I find that what I miss,
Is the friend I dearly trust.

Were were so very close,
Like sisters we should be.
And lonely I am now because
You don't write to me.

I thought we could see each other,
When you were visiting home.
But I was always disappointed,
When you didn't call my phone.

What have I done to hurt you?
Why do I have to cry?
Where are you now? You've left me!
And you didn't tell me why.

I miss you my best friend,
You are always on my mind.
I wish you were here to tell me,
Where our friendship I could find.
