Just a battle of mine
SOMETHING LOST

Did you go to college
You speak as a graduate
Your speech has an edge
Your poems are able to illuminate

What if they disappeared
Not an intelligent word spoken
The poems cease to make since
Much like this stanza

Conversation lacks the memories
Question “do you remember?”
The emptiness comes up to tease
Is my brain still a member

To fly: to laminate?
That just don’t sound right
Maybe it is levitate
That is the word that took all night

Do I need a comma here
Or is it a semi colon
I am filled with fear
Why are my words
My writing rules stolen
