This is a story about one of many of society's outcasts.
There he waits in a dark room his cage is small and painful but over the years it has become comfortable a place where he feels safe. This cage was not his destiny, he was not borne in it but it was made for him. It was cruel what they did to him, he didn't fit in with the rest, they didn't understand him. What they did to him was unbearable but he was strong he suffered night and day, there was no end to his torment but he would not die. When you look into his eyes they tell a story they tell a story that he tries to hide. He was beaten black and blue, they cussed at him, they tore everything away from him. So much pain, so much loneliness. His claws are long, his scars are many. His back has been broken many times by their sticks and their stones. He is just a shadow in the darkness

He looks scary now, over the years he has become crazy, never knowing what was outside his cage. When you look deeper into his eyes you know that he was not meant for that cage, he had a great destiny, he was a fighter that would change the world. He was destined to stand on his hind legs and defeat the enemy with his mighty roar. But his enemies outnumbered him, he couldn't find a safe place for they were everywhere until they captured him and locked him in this cage, this prison without the light of the sun.

When you look closer you can see that his cage is unlocked for he was set free by the one long ago, his cage door is open but he does not leave. The outside world overwhelms him,  for he has not known the outside since he was a cub. His cage has become his safe place for in there they cannot hurt him, the years of beating has done its work.

Look at what they did to him.
