When the people that matter leave you with only the memories they have left behind.
When Bad Dreams Come True

She was sitting there,
in a rocking chair.
Her mother,
lying in her bed.
The doctor had just left,
and it was his best guess,
In a few hours she'd be dead.

I’ll never understand
why God created man
to leave him in such misery.
From his mothers womb,
only a few breaths away
to a lonely tomb.
I have lost another friend.

Money can never buy,
the tear drops from your eye,
or mend the pain a broken heart creates.
Although a new life may begin,
the heart-ache’s will never end.
Sometimes,
I no longer want to wait.

What should you do when bad dreams come true.
Should you just sit there and cry, cry, cry.
No, you should lift up your chin
and allow your new life to begin.
Give death a rest,
and living a try.

Everyone knows,
though we seldom let it show,
that we were never meant to be.
We’re only here for a short while,
so lets try and leave with a smile.
I have been fortunate
that you chose
to spend some time with me.

Music, you see,
has been the key that set me free.
My words, a collage of feelings
pouring from a lonely mans soul.
Please remember those,
who in the end,
gave us the chance to grow.
And,
Let's let their spirit’s fly.
