A poem about getting over a death.
His corpse lies in the coffin
A flag rests on the casket
Everybody weeps for his demise
Another one has died
Another one to add to the growing
Garden of Stones

Nobody knows how to deal
They drown in their own grief
Mother hugs daughter for consolation
It’s when the hearse pulls up
That they realize he’s really going to the
Garden of Stones

Denial is strong for some
Then there’s the cold and heartless
And of course, those that don’t know what to feel
One and all know what’s happening
Yet one more off to the swelling
Garden of Stones

It’s all over
But not at the same time
Whatever happens, it will happen all over again
We fight the never-ending battle
Soon everyone will be lost to the
Garden of Stones
