feeling hopeless
A tear drops with each cut I make.
One mistake causes a bond to break.

Loneliness and fear hide behind sad eyes.
Life gets more hopeless the slower time flies.

Faith and love vanish into thin air.
Bravery plays a trick on you and then disappears.

Imperfections are painful and bitter to the heart.
Courage slips away and plays no part.

Confusion and lies sour the mind.
The soul floats away, leaves the body behind.

Trust is murdered and buried underground.
Anger has lashed out and become unwound.

A touch is no longer gentle, but harsh and rough.
Strength has backed out and called it a bluff.

The shoulder we cried on is now flooded with tears.
The secrets we try to hide everyone now hears.

Everyone who once cared has now given up.
All of our precious charms have run out of luck.

So where do we turn to when we have nothing left?
When all we have to give is no longer the best.
