Stages of misunderstanding. Through our entire lives, are we ever really understood?
A smile that would make angels swoon
Only as deep as the surface
An ugliness underneath
That could make demons cry

Everyone only thought of her
As a shallow girl
They thought she only wanted a moment’s attention
But what she really wanted was love

Can you love her, one so vain
That she outshines the sun?
Will you hate her
Just because you’ll never understand?
She’s not blinded by beauty,
She’s blinded by the pain they caused her

Memories that could kill
Hide the light most
Defiance becomes the only thing
Keeping one alive

Everyone now thought of her
As a morbid girl
They thought she was only a moment away
From disappearing forever

Can you help her, trapped so strongly
That she can’t move?
Will you leave her all alone
Just because she’s afraid?
She didn’t fall by choice,
They were the ones to push her

A haunting melody rises from inside her
On she felt was lost forever
One she had forgotten
She can feel his hand and knows…
