Happiness on the Wind

A gentle breeze carried us away,
sweeping us up, into her skirt.
Given distance we could say
everything that hurt
too much. What we fear,
what made us fight.
Words that sear,
no might
here.

There,
angry
looks that glare
now cease to be.
We found that we could
put the past behind, and
move forward. Anew, we would
let the wind carry us, to end
in happiness, as we knew we should.
