Somedays are harder than others when missing an old, long, lost friend...
Screams become louder

And laughing subsides

Hearts become heavier

As death arrives

The innocence of yesterday

Cries out to me now

Can I take it all back?

Someway, somehow?

Nights become colder

But my palm still sweats

My mind keeps spinning

With endless regrets

I try and shake the dreams

That haunt me to this day

I just want him back

I don’t like life this way

Every one tells me

No need to wonder why

But my heart aches

For a simple "goodbye"

A wisp of my memory

I don’t want his face to be

Lord, please let me keep that

Don’t take it from me…
