This is a poem that I wrote when my parents were having some problems
Look to the sky and see the night.
Through speckled holes, shines the light.
On the clouds, lay the moon
Shining down on buds yet to bloom.
The wind blows the leaves of the swaying oak tree.
The leaves twirl about and dance around me.
A chill down my spine tells me I'm home,
But a small part of me says I'm still alone.
I am now home with no one to share
The feelings inside that I know are there.
Look again to the sky, but see not the night.
No speckled holes, through which shines the light.
The sky is now empty, no clouds or a moon.
No light to shine down on the buds yet to bloom.
No wind is to blow, standing still is the tree.
There are no more leaves to dance around me.
The chill down my spine has brought me to home
With the realization that I am alone.
Why do I feel the way that I do?
So empty inside when I'm without you.
Without you beside me I am alone.
Left with this chill and a Cold Welcome Home.
