Quite old, but still...
How can we spend everyday,
Living,
Loving,
Yet knowing nothing –
A painting’s worth a thousand words -
Violence
Woe
Pity
Aches.
Defying stereotypes,
Walking ghosts -
Rhymes with oath
Rhymes with loath.
Smoking masking cuts
The beginning of a new age –
Your heart seems big
Or is the word empty?
So cruelly you kiss the blade -
Rhymes with hate
Rhymes with save.
Choking in the sunspots
Silver clouds,
Purple flesh.
Tasting colour,
Desiring more –
It’s not enough,
It’s never enough.
Order of symmetry,
Believing in something –
Stone
Glass
Paint
Copper.
Why is living?
Why is ceasing?
Blood loss rhymes not,
Just a shard.
Raindrops falling through Oblivion,
Where is the other side?
Are we here? Are we there?
Dreaming
Screaming
Cruelty brought the orchids –
So brought you…
How can we spend everyday,
Living,
Loving
…Yet knowing nothing?
