Christian Poem
Fashioned by the smithy's hands,
And readied for our Lord
The nails were driven into the flesh
Of God's Son - the Living Word.

The wood was stained with Jesus' blood
As His weight the cross did bear,
And blood and water flowed from His side
Put there by the soldier's spear.

Upon His head he wore a crown of thorns
They whipped him till he bled,
They thought they had the Victory
They thought that He'd stay dead.

But Jesus conquered death, hell, and the grave
The day He rose, you see,
He did it then and He'd do it again
Just for you and me.
