Written in Barrow, Alaska while admiring aurora borealis
Lost in your midnight sun
found by the river of gold
going down the stream
with my empty pan
I found your endless beauty
in majestic Brooks Range
in the wilderness of your refuge
in the emptiness of tundra
With Eskimo hugs and smiles
polar bears from the distance
and white foxes hiding
I found my place
for golden years to come
Until then I have to
head back to the main land
to toil tirelessly
and dream of my Alaska
